CORNERSTONE RECOVERY AND SUPPORTS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCE MENTAL ILLNESS AND CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS TO ACCESS THE RESOURCES NECESSARY TO IMPROVE HIS/HER QUALITY OF LIFE WHILE MAINTAINING A SAFE LIVING ENVIRONMENT.
Cornerstone Recovery and Supports (CRS) was founded by C.E.O. Mark Zachewicz after Beaver County Behavioral Health (BCBH) approached him to develop much needed services for people with mental illnesses. Through his extensive work at various Beaver County agencies, Mark had years of experience in both the Mental Health and Intellectual Disability fields. When presented with the opportunity to start his own provider agency, he gladly accepted the challenge and began to assemble the various components of a program to fill this important role in the community.
CRS became operational on July 1, 2013. All of its programs are guided by the principles of recovery and follow Beaver County’s System of Care and Guiding Principles. In collaboration with BCBH and other organizations supporting people with mental illness and co-occuring disorders, CRS continues to grow in both the population served and the diversity of services offered.
